The Schönramer Hell is the flagship of the private country brewery Schönram. It is the most popular beer in the wide range and not only delights fans of the Upper Bavarian brewery. The Helle is an absolute favorite in international competitions and has already received several prestigious prizes.
A very special type of barley ensures the special taste of the beer: Marthe is a grain from old Bavaria that gives the beer the bright yellow color of ripe ears and also conjures up a soft, balanced malt aroma in the beer. But in Schönram, emphasis is not only placed on the selection of the finest ingredients. The processing of the raw materials is also done with the utmost care: After the intensive mashing process, the beer is carefully cold fermented in open vats and then has enough time to unfold to its full glory during the secondary fermentation process. The result is a delicately balanced beer with floral hop notes and full-bodied malt.
The light from Schönram flows into the glass in a rich straw yellow and is adorned with a veil of fragrant foam. On the nose, the beer presents itself with notes of sweet malt, oven-fresh bread crust, caramel and summer flower meadow; The initial taste pampers the taste buds with aromas of biscuits, roasted malt, soft caramel and grain. The hops add a playful flowery and balance the malty sweetness with a nice bitterness.
