There are people who can drink a piece of wheat at any time. They don’t mind the powerful, filling and full-bodied character of the beer - on the contrary, they draw strength and motivation from enjoying the beer and benefit from the isotonic properties of the Bavarian classic. With less trained palates, enjoying a wheat beer with a white sausage breakfast could trigger a lot of tiredness and a resulting reluctance to exercise for the rest of the day.
For these people and for enjoying wheat even on sunny, hot summer days, the Schönram brewery has a suitable example in its range. The fluffy, light Summa-Weisse was penned by the aspiring brewer Niklas Wallner. After successfully completing his training as a brewer, after several years of work in the bottling plant, he is now continuing his training to become a master brewer. The brewery celebrates this step with the Summa Weisse.
The Wheat is strictly limited and will only be available while supplies allow. Niklas wanted to brew a feather-light alternative to conventional wheat beer and therefore gave his ’Summa Weissen’ an alcohol content of just 4.2%. The lean delicacy is brewed with a mixture of wheat, Kara and Pilsner malt and hopped three times in the process. Due to the dry hopping, the wheat scores with a wonderfully fresh variety of sparkling citrus notes, apricots and hints of green hops.
