The exceptional brewery Sudden Death Brewing from Timmendorfer Strand started the new decade with an absolute highlight: Spaceman Dust is the first beer that the brewery released in 2020.
The Pale Ale enchants with fruity excellence and a tangy carbonation that lets the aromas dance and tingle from the tongue to the stomach. The lively carbonation is due to the use of Norwegian Kveik yeast. This special yeast strain is often used by craft brewers because it gives the beer a very special character and a bubble similar to champagne.
Spaceman Dust flows into the glass in the color of sun-dried straw and is beautifully hazy. An airy, white foam crowns the beer. From the stately head of foam, a tempting cocktail of tropical fruit and tangy citrus rises to your nose. The first sip reveals a light, flaky beer with juicy fruit aromas. Pineapple, papaya, mango, peach and citrus fruits combine to create a wave of tropical aromas that wash over the palate and immediately put you in a good mood. The sparkling carbon dioxide gives an extra kick. An initially subtle bitterness mixes with the fruity turmoil and results in a finish that is strongly bitter and stays on the tongue for a long time.
Übergeil is another beer from the brewery, but it would also go well with this beer.
