Smilla is a beer from Flügge that tastes as elegant and light-footed as it says.
When we think of Smilla, we imagine an incredibly beautiful, blonde girl who enchants people with her lovely lightness, her fine sense of humor and her loving nature. Smilla's beer counterpart has completely different qualities, but is at least as enchanting.
Smilla is not a Swede, but a real Berliner Weisse, which was combined with an elegant white wine. To create such a tangy, light-footed beer, the brewers used hand-picked Grüner Veltliner grapes from the Daniel Mattern winery. Smilla gets its special character from the yeast varieties. With the help of Belgian saison yeast and the infamous Brettanomyces yeast, a very special taste is created.

Smilla flows into the glass in a slightly cloudy, pale gold tone and forms a thin, white head of foam. A slightly sweet, subtly sour and wonderfully fruity scent rises from the fleeting foam. In the nose, a fruity aroma of white wine meets delicate lemon and the unmistakable scent of Brettanomyces yeast, which awakens different associations in every person. Some smell fully ripe fruit, others speak of the aroma of white truffles. The initial drink follows the elegant scent potpourri: sweet, sour and yeasty, dry and fruity. Smilla enchants with a wide range of different flavors and is reminiscent of a crisp, sour Berliner Weisse and a playful white wine in equal parts.
