The Pale Ale Hoptimum from Wiethaler presents itself in the sunny gold of October leaves and is crowned by a fine-pored, stately foam. A scent rises from the white fluff that immediately transports you to the long, green rows of a hop field. The unmistakable scent of ripe, golden hops mixes on the nose with a hint of citrus and soft caramel to create a tempting combination. When drunk, Hoptimum is, as expected, bitter. After the first impression, a hoppy fruitiness joins the bitterness. Only in the finish does the malt present itself in the form of a soft, creamy caramel note.
