Butterflies in your stomach, an expectant tickling in and rose-colored glasses on your nose - who doesn’t know the spring fever?
When winter finally loosens its relentless grip, the air is filled with exuberant twittering and the world becomes a more colorful place thanks to countless flowers, then the spring fever blooms in us. The Hamburg brewery ÜberQuell has dedicated a beer to the most beautiful of all feelings: Sunny Spring is a golden ale that is packed with spring-like joy.
Sunny Spring presents itself in the golden color of the spring sun in the glass and is wonderfully naturally cloudy. A colorful bouquet of fresh spring fragrances rises from the fluffy foam: a fruit basket meets a meadow of flowers. This first impression is confirmed in the initial taste. The full hop power of the five highly aromatic varieties Mandarina Bavaria, Citra, Cascade, Tradition and Saphir conjures up a cornucopia of dreamy taste nuances in the beer. First, citrus-fresh notes of juicy mandarins, ripe oranges and delicately sour lemons kiss the tongue, before a touch of grapefruit brings bitterness and more acidity into play. Melon, pineapple and mango add a tropical sweetness to the beer, which harmonizes wonderfully with the green hop notes of freshly mown grass and herbs. A fine floral aroma hovers over the fruity event like a gentle mist.
The finish is short and crisp and so tasty that you want to tip the next bottle straight away!
