In the colorful assortment of Josef Langwieser’s Edelbierschmiede, classics should not be missing. The brewer from Siegenburg has modern exhibits on offer, but doesn’t want to withhold the delicacies of the traditional art of brewing from his valuable customers. Representing the down-to-earth beer styles of his homeland are the Saphir Pils and Diamant, a strong light beer with an unfiltered body and a wonderfully balanced character.
Among the minerals, the diamond is one of the hardest materials and one of the most valuable. Even in its raw, uncut state, the stone has great value and when then worked by skilled hands, the crystal can fetch invaluable prices. Brewer Josef Langwieser was looking for the perfect name for his fine light beer and he couldn’t think of a better one than Diamant - perfect for the bright golden beer with an airy head of foam.
The creation smells of freshly baked, still warm bread, creamy caramel and light grain. A hint of citrus fruit completes the olfactory first impression and makes you thirsty to drink. The taste test reveals a full-bodied beer with a full, robust harmony. Gradually, buttery toffee, toasted bread and malt join in. The hops complete the picture with citrus-fresh hints, grassy notes and a restrained, perfectly balanced bitterness.
