With its special Edel beer, the Kaufbeuren stock brewery is continuing a long tradition in its homeland: In the Allgäu and the rest of Bavaria, the tradition of festival beer has existed for centuries and is still maintained in many long-established breweries today. The Bavarian festival beer used to be served in the festival tent when people celebrated church fairs or similar folk festivals and is still brewed whenever there is something to celebrate.
At the Kaufbeuren stock brewery, the Edel specialty beer is part of the core range and gives customers a brew that can be enjoyed on special occasions and turns simple everyday moments into small celebrations. Their version of a festive drink is a strong festival beer with a malty character and an aromatic hint of floral hops. The brew brings 5.8% alcohol content, select barley malt and a mix of Spalter Select, Hallertauer Herkules and Hallertauer Tradition into the glass. The noble tipple presents itself in crystal-clear gold and piles up a lush crown of airy, snow-white foam. The leading aromas in smell and taste are gently roasted, hearty grain, freshly mown grass, fragrant hay, earthy herbs and crispy bread crust. The hops provide a harmonious bitterness and conclude the beer enjoyment with a crisp, bitter, delicately fruity finish.
The special beer from Aktienbrauerei Kaufbeuren is a festive treat with or without a special occasion!
