The weekend is the nicest time of the week and sometimes we already look forward to Friday on Monday. For most of us, the work week ends sometime on Friday, leaving two full days of idleness ahead of us. What a luxury!
Because not everyone can enjoy this and because sometimes you feel like going to the weekend on a Wednesday afternoon, the Coronado brewery has come up with a beer that can save the day. Weekend Vibes is an India Pale Ale in the style of their Californian homeland of San Diego and always gets you in the mood for the weekend, sip by sip. The brew delivers a crisp 6.8% alcohol content and a juicy abundance of fruity hop notes embedded in a wonderfully dry, refreshing character.
Weekend Vibes comes in a delicately tarnished gold and is adorned with a fleeting foamy white head. A beautiful hop flower rises and fills the room with notes of freshly squeezed citrus and mown grass. The initial taste is bittersweet and, in addition to lemon zest, presents a nice hop bitterness. Lime, tangerine, grapefruit, pine resin and a base of light malt join in and complete the flavor profile.
