“Honey, I’m just going to see a man about a dog” – what would make any woman in this country shake her head sounds completely normal to English ears. Since this saying comes from Great Britain, we can even name the dog exactly: "The Dog" is the name given to Newcastle Brown Ale. Since 1927, English men have used this imaginary dog when they stop by the nearest pub and buy a Newcastle Brown Ale. Newcastle Brown Ale has been around for that long and it is still a hit in England today: just one year after its creation, Newcastle Brown Ale received the gold medal at the “International Brewers Exhibition” in London - not the last, as it says on the label is so beautiful to see.
