English cider has been gaining more and more fans for some time now. The sparkling apple wine impresses with its fresh fruitiness and light, drinkable nature.
The British Thatcher family has been brewing cider for more than 100 years and is one of the most famous manufacturers in the country. The apples for the cider come from Myrtle Farm, where the apple orchards are tended and cared for with a lot of manual labor and expertise. More than 450 different apple varieties grow here and produce tons of tasty apples every year, which are then used to make cider. Bees from our own hives and bumblebees, which are attracted to flowers sown especially for them, ensure a rich harvest and busy activity in the orchard.
A particular specialty of the Thatcher family is their Sweet and Sparkling Somerset Cider Rosé, which is brewed with Cripps Pink, Fuji and Gala apple varieties.
Thatcher's Rosé flows into the glass in the wonderful shade of ripe red apples. A pink copper red is made to dance by countless small pearls. The tangy carbon dioxide gives the cider a fantastic lightness and the appearance of a rosé champagne. A fine top layer of pure white foam crowns the noble drink and exudes a seductive scent of freshly harvested apples. The initial taste reveals an apple explosion: sweet and crunchy, tangy and juicy, the apple presents itself on the tongue.
