Since the drinkable journeyman comes from Denmark, his name is not pronounced like Uwe but says U-Dub. From a stylistic point of view, UW belongs to the India Pale Ales: The crunchy beer is heavily cold-hopped and obscures our senses with diverse citrus notes, juicy tropical fruits and a pointed bitterness.
The Danish brewers attach great importance to the full hop strength and balance the vast amounts of the finest aroma hops with a strong body. UW flows into the glass in a wonderfully cloudy amber tone and adorns itself with a small crown of snow-white, fluffy foam. From the airy splendor a seductive scent of green hops, tangy citrus fruits and exotic fruits rises into the nose. The initial taste follows the olfactory first impression on the foot and unfolds a fruity variety of hops on the tongue: Mango, papaya, grapefruit, pineapple and lemon provide freshness and fruit. A soft malt base that tastes like oats and sun-ripened grain underlines the hoppy explosion and gives the beer a creamy texture. A touch of pine resin rounds off the play of aromas, while the skilfully placed bitterness tops off the enjoyment.
