A gose is usually characterized by its exceptional acidity and the little kick that coriander and salt add to the beer. The brewery Little Rain Brewing from Barcelona has given the classic a modern twist and transformed the crisp sour beer into a refreshing summer hit.
Brewed in collaboration with Swedish brewery Duckpond Brewing, their tropical Gose Guava Jelly is full of surprises. A wonderful scent of ripe guava and sun-drenched passion fruit rises from the golden beer and reveals two of the extra ingredients: guava and passion fruit were also brewed and conjure up a sunny holiday flair in the beer. A hint of mango provides a fruity sweetness and even more fruit. But that was by no means all of the special raw materials! Marshmallows and lactose give the beer its fine vanilla aromas and the velvety soft mouthfeel.
Guava Jelly flows into the glass in a richly cloudy peach gold. A crown of dense, white foam adorns the beer and exudes a potpourri of freshly harvested tropical fruits. The first drink follows the first impression and lets you think for a moment that you are enjoying a fruit cocktail instead of a beer. With a thick, creamy consistency, the beer caresses the palate and tickles the taste buds with notes of mango, passion fruit, guava and vanilla.
