The Mosaic Ale from Zichovec is a very special beer in two ways. For one, the brew was the very first ale brewed in the brewery. In addition, the American Pale Ale was not intended for the palate of customers, but was a wedding beer. It was created by one of the master brewers on the occasion of the wedding and was served to the guests on the festive day. However, after they were so enthusiastic about it, the brewery could not withhold its fine ale from the rest of humanity.
The Mosaic Ale was added to the range and has been delighting beer connoisseurs ever since with its tangy citrus freshness and the balanced balance between hops and malt. The beer gets its name from the hop variety Mosaic, which was used in addition to Sládek hops and three types of malt.
Pivovar Zichovec’s former wedding beer flows into the glass in festive gold and forms a handsome crown of thick, white foam. On the nose, the beer presents itself with tangy notes of lime juice, pineapple, white grapes and floral hops. The initial taste follows the olfactory first impression and tickles the taste buds with soft sweetness, elegant bitterness and fruity acidity. The APA has a light-footed body and closes with a lemony, crunchy bitter finish. It is the perfect beer for hot summer days and all occasions when you need a cool, fruity refreshment.
