Regardless of the medium, works of art are similar in their structure: from individual, insignificant elements, the artistic hand creates a large whole that surpasses its individual parts in aesthetics, meaning and magnificence. This principle can be applied to both the visual arts and music. It makes no difference whether you create an image with countless brushstrokes or compose a piece of music from a jumble of individual notes - in the end there is a work of art.
The Tanker brewery from Estonia even goes a step further in their reflections on art: they compare the artful weaving of individual notes with the expert combination of different raw materials. Whether melody or beer, the result is art. If you taste the fine beers of the brewery, you can only agree with them.
To breathe life into their theory, the brewers have developed a beery proof: Melody is a beer that is as harmonious, soothing and appealing as a melody. The artistic creation is an imperial stout with a sonorous 9.0% alcohol content and a good 55 bitterness units. The dark beauty flows into the glass in an opaque shade of coffee and adorns itself with a perfect crown of hazelnut-brown foam. Smell and taste are dominated by chocolate, espresso, cocoa, freshly baked bread and a hint of vanilla.
