A futuristic dystopian city served as inspiration for this beer: Neon City is a gloomy, harsh place with endless nights and short days riddled with freezing winter storms. The darkness is illuminated by frantic neon lights, here and there sinister figures with hoods pulled low over their faces can be seen scurrying about. Loud beats emanate from a club in the city’s dangerous underground, while in another corner something magical happens: brewers from Lithuania and Estonia have come together to brew a beer that will make you forget everything for a few magical hours.
The collaboration between Ārpus Brewing Co. and Sori Brewing is a massive imperial stout that combines the power of tonka and coffee beans into a flavorful work of art. Neon City brings an impressive 10.9% alcohol content to the table and warms body and soul. The coffee comes from the Kalve roastery and is grown on the sunny slopes of Brazil.
The Imperial Stout flows into the glass the color of freshly brewed coffee and smells like it too: A fine aroma of roasted beans fills the air and combines with chocolate cake, caramel and vanilla to form an irresistible mixture. Flavors follow suit and score points with chocolate, coffee, tonka bean and roasted malt. Absolutely fine!
