Beer should just taste like beer. This also applies to non-alcoholic beer.
The brewers at Nøgne Ø had this simple intention when they developed an alcohol-free version for their range. They didn’t want to artificialize themselves, but they didn’t want to make it too easy for themselves either. Your non-alcoholic beverage should be in no way inferior to its alcoholic counterparts - a beery delight without revolutions. To achieve this goal, the resourceful brewers took their classic Belgian Blonde Ale and painstakingly transformed it into a non-alcoholic specialty. The crowd favorite was refined with a dash of lime juice and, to top it off, dry hopped and topped with lime zest.
At the end of this process there is an absolute thirst quencher with a refreshing character and the summery flair of sun-kissed limes. In the glass, the beer presents itself in a densely cloudy honey gold and is adorned with a small crown of fine-pored foam. The unmistakable scent of freshly squeezed limes combines in the nose with spicy honey, playful hops and delicate herbal notes to create an enticing mixture. The first taste reveals a light-footed body with harmonious carbonic acid and a fresh, harmoniously balanced taste. Soft notes of creamy blossom honey caress the palate before freshly cut herbs, tangy notes of citrus zest and light malt join in. A hint of bitterness elegantly rounds off the enjoyment of the beer.
