For the brewers at Seven Island Brewery, the Imperial Stout is the holy grail of beers. They describe the majestic brewing style as the emperor among the aroma-intensive, challenging and powerful beers and are big fans of the dark beauty. Out of love for stout, the friends launched the © BEASTMODE series and indulge their desire for good strong beer with this series of excellent beers.
Part of the series is TROMOS. This powerful Imperial Stout comes with a whopping 12.0% alcohol content and not only turns your head with it. The Greek word Tromos stands for something that inspires a lot of fear and is therefore the perfect name for this monster of a beer.
The common basis of all © BEASTMODE beers is a powerful recipe that consists of a lot of malt and some hops. The basic recipe is individually refined with hand-picked ingredients that give the beers depth, complexity and intense aromas. A whole truckload of exotic vanilla from Tahiti was flown in for TROMOS and processed into a fabulous beer together with coffee beans from the Corfiot roastery Cafetierra and the roasted and ground fruits of the carob tree. The result is a huge Imperial Stout with a luxurious abundance of multi-layered chocolate notes, hints of creamy Dulce de Leche and deep cocoa flavors.
