The so-called J-Dag takes place in Denmark on the first Friday in November. The J is the abbreviation for the Danish word Julebryg, which means something like Christmas beer in German. This holiday is named after a brew that comes from Tuborg and is sold year after year from this date onwards. Celebrations and events take place all over Denmark on J-Day. Employees of the brewery drive around the area in trucks, give free samples of the festival beer to guests in bars and cafés and sing a song that was composed especially for the occasion. This festival has been a tradition for years and marks the beginning of the Christmas season.
