Synapses are the connections in our brain that enable us to transport information in the body and store experiences through signal transmission. We have about a thousand billion of them and while some are constantly being broken down, new ones can be formed every day. Synapses are the connection between our nerve cells and are responsible for the transmission of signals and stimuli.
The latest collaboration between Yankee & Kraut from Ingolstadt and the Hamburg brewery Buddelship provides a flood of culinary delights. Their collaborative effort is appropriately called Synapsenknipser and is a double cold-hopped New England IPA. The beer contains the hop varieties Riwaka, HBC 630 Cryo Citra Cryo and Mosaic Cryo as well as a mix of three different malts and a decent 6.6% alcohol content.
The delightful drink flows into the glass in a densely cloudy corn yellow and is decorated with an airy crown of pure white foam. A tropical scent fills your nose and makes you want to drink. A fruity play of aromas awaits your palate: pineapple, mango, banana, melon and peach come together to create an exotic cocktail that, together with a crunchy bitterness, is simply irresistible. A non-slip, velvety-soft mouthfeel rounds off the beer enjoyment.
Synapsenknipser is a smoothie in beer form and is so tasty that it’s better to have more than one on hand!
