7 haze a week

The week has seven days, Rome was built on seven hills, the brave little tailor struck seven in one fell swoop, Snow White lived with the seven dwarves, the genius of the Brothers Grimm gave rise to seven quarrelsome ravens, seven wonders of the world were already known in ancient times, the Bible preaches seven deadly sins, old seafaring stories tell of adventures on the seven seas, cats have seven lives, seven corners symbolize eternal rest, in some parts of the world seven is a lucky number, in others not, in ancient Rome Seven is a number of the god Apollo and in Olympic athletics there is the heptathlon. Few other numbers are as meaningful as seven.

We don’t know whether this was the reason why Christian from Hanscraft & Co. chose seven different hop varieties in the recipe for his latest New England IPA. What we do know is that the brew turned out extremely well. His 7 Haze A Week contains the combined magic of the varieties Bru 1, Cashmere, Saphir, Cascade, Simcoe, Mosaic and Comet - a septet that provides full-bodied notes of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, peach and papaya. A mild bitterness skilfully rounds off the juicy aromatics.
