Isotonic, good for the immune system, low in calories and healthy for the intestinal flora - non-alcoholic beer, especially wheat beer, is said to have numerous positive properties. Because little of this is scientifically proven, we prefer to concentrate on the essentials: the taste!
In terms of taste, the non-alcoholic wheat beer from the Andechs monastery brewery leaves nothing to be desired. The wheat beer is the very first completely alcohol-free brew that the brewery has added to its range and a novelty that required a lot of effort. Instead of developing a new non-alcoholic wheat beer, the team preferred an alcohol-free version of their popular classic wheat beer . In 2016, technologies that gently remove alcohol were even less common, so the monastery brewery had to invest a lot to secure one of the rare systems. But the investment was worth it: The non-alcoholic Andechs wheat beer has been an integral part of the core range for almost 10 years now and is still a hit.
The mild brew flows into the glass in a warm, coppery honey gold, is cloudy with yeast and is crowned with a cap of fluffy, white foam. A classic scent of ripe banana and beguiling clove invites you to take a sip. The taste test reveals a full, velvety soft body that scores with a potpourri of oven-fresh banana bread, bitter hops, tangy citrus notes, spicy yeast and clove.
