Dulcis 12 is a very special brewing specialty from Riegele. Although it is brewed in Augsburg, the light beer is still a truly Belgian Dubbel. After the brewing process, a generous portion of honey and real Trappist yeast are added to the virtually finished beer. Equipped with these extra ingredients, the beer then has another twelve months to mature to its full glory. Honey and yeast give the Dubbel its unique character and also ensure an impressive alcohol content of 11.0%.
Dulcis 12 flows into the glass in a deep gold tone and shines like a polished piece of jewelry. A stately, dense head of foam sits on top of the golden drink and exudes a wonderfully strong scent of creamy forest honey and brown rock sugar. The scent of oven-fresh baked apples with creamy caramel sauce mixes in and makes you look forward to the first sip. The initial taste reveals a powerful body with a velvety mouthfeel caused by the mousse. Soft and full-bodied, sweet aromas of caramel malt, honey and cotton candy hit the palate. Strong roasted aromas and a hint of juicy cherry as well as a liqueur-like alcohol note give the sweet beer structure and character. The Belgian yeast provides a nice spice and adds another flavor nuance. The finish is spicy, sweet and so delicious that you should have the next bottle ready.
Pure sweet seduction.
