Fire is an element that has always fascinated mankind. Hardly anyone can escape the irresistible attraction of gently licking flames and you can look into a crackling campfire or fireplace for what feels like hours without getting bored. We used to depend on fire: cozy warmth and the preparation of nutritious meals were only possible when a little fire was burning. This is no longer the case today, and yet we are still under the spell of the fire.
The brewers at the S. Riegele brewery celebrate their enthusiasm for fire with a beer to match. Their strong beer Auris 19 bears the nickname Goldenes Feuer and is combined with this heart and soul-warming 9.0 vol. % and a temperamental character. Auris is the twin of another beer from the range: Ator 20 is also a strong beer and was conceived by the brewers as a dark opponent to Auris. The opposite pair represents light and darkness.
The light bringer Auris appears in a radiant sunshine gold in the glass and exudes a nutty scent, which is filled with strong malt aromas and the smell of fresh yeast plaited bread. If you take the first sip, you will be rewarded with an elegant, finely sparkling beer that has a successful spiciness, notes of honey and brown sugar, hints of herbs and the taste of ripe stone fruits.
