Vintage beers are a phenomenon that has developed over the last few decades. More and more breweries are releasing beers that are brewed only once and stand out for their special character. As with vintage wines, the number of beers is usually strictly limited and a great deal of attention, care and attention to detail has gone into the production of the speciality.
The S. Riegele brewery has such a vintage beer in its range: Magnus 24 is a brew based on the Belgian cherry beer Kriek, which was refined by barrel maturation after the brewing process was completed. There are only 1000 bottles of this masterful tipple.
Magnus 24 is based on a trio of oat, wheat and barley malt, which gives it its deep brown color with ruby red fire and velvety soft mouthfeel. Three different yeasts, cultivated in Belgium and in the S. Riegele brewery, conjure up a massive 10.0% alcohol content and a pleasant warmth in the beer. An olfactory melody of wine-soaked wood, purple cherries and warm spices rises to the nose and entices you to take the first sip like a siren. The first sip reveals a complex masterpiece of sensual aromas that enchant the palate with notes of sun-kissed cherries, fine Burgundy, wooden barrels, forest honey and vanilla.
We offer this elegant beer delight in small and large bottles.
