If anyone is known for his outstanding creations, it is Georg Tscheuschner from Schorschbräu. The brewing legend is responsible for the strongest beer in the world and specializes in brewing top-proof beers. In addition to his World's Strongest Lager, the Franconian master brewer has numerous other high-proof specialties in his range.
The latest addition is a fine craft beer: Cuvee Barrique is released in a limited edition of 5,000 copies and will probably be sold out soon. As usual, the beer is strong and packs a punch with an alcohol content of 18.2%. In order to obtain a particularly exclusive beer, Georg married several fine Eisbocks together and let the resulting beer mature to its full splendor in oak barrels. The result is a mahogany-colored malt dream with a seductively dark aroma. The voluminous beer is bursting with flavor and impresses the connoisseur with strong notes of ripe, heavy summer fruits, exquisite bourbon whiskey and delicately creamy caramel.
To top off this fine beer specialty, we recommend storing it again in a cool cellar. Bottle aging further shapes the character of the beer and gives the aroma even more volume and intensity. However, the prerequisite is that you can keep your hands off the delicious beer for that long - we recommend buying several bottles so that you can open one straight away and let the rest mature!
