Beer stands or falls with the quality of its raw materials. Even the most skilled brewmaster cannot spin gold from straw, so it is vital that the ingredients are carefully selected. The Herzogliches Bayerisches Brauhaus Tegernsee has a core range that only consists of eight types of beer. With such a small selection, the focus is on each individual brew - every creation has to be perfect. The team at the Bavarian brewery achieves this standard by using grains, hops and yeast of outstanding quality. Even the water is exceptional: the basis of all beers is pure spring water from the mountains. Combined with the experience from more than 1000 years of brewing history, this can only be a good thing!
Proof of this thesis is, for example, the Tegernsee Hell. This classic full beer is brewed according to the requirements of the Bavarian Purity Law and brings 4.8% alcohol content into the glass in shiny gold. A stately crown of fluffy, snow-white foam sits enthroned on the sunny body, enticing you to drink with olfactory notes of freshly baked bread and blooming summer meadow. The taste builds up slowly and increases from a mild first impression to a full-bodied enjoyment with hints of sponge cake, lemongrass, gently roasted grain and a hint of vanilla.
