The Merkendorfer Pils from Wagner flows into the glass in crystal clear gold and has a crown of white, airy foam on its shiny body. Mild grass notes mix in the nose with a strong portion of malt, a hint of citrus rounds off the olfactory first impression and tempts you to take the first sip. The initial drink presents a refreshing beer with a great balance of sweet and bitter notes. At first, soft malt caresses the palate with notes of toasted grain, honey and gentle sweetness. The hops then take the helm and provide aromas of freshly mown grass, summer flower meadow and tangy citrus fruit. The play of aromas is accompanied by a crisp bitterness.
