The Franconian beer tradition is a long-established institution that has made the life of the Franconians more beautiful and delicious for centuries. An incomparable range of different brews enriches the culinary landscape and makes the hearty home cooking that little bit better. We Franconians live an active culture of enjoyment and enjoy our beer on very different occasions. On Sunday mornings you can find us having a pint, at lunchtime we enjoy a light beer with a dumpling with sauce or sausages with cabbage, in the afternoon we let the sun shine on our noses and refresh ourselves with a cool cellar beer at the place of the same name, in the evening we drink a beer with friends After work and on the way from A to B we enjoy a quick beer.
The Weißenoh monastery brewery is part of the Franconian beer scene. The venerable estate has existed for almost a thousand years and it is assumed that brewing has been going on there for just as long.
One of our favorites from this traditional brewery is their Weißenoher Altfränkisch monastery beer. This fox red specialty is made according to an old recipe and contains a number of the finest malts, which are responsible for the strong color and balanced taste. Exquisite aroma hops provide the elegant tartness and contribute a delicate bitterness. The Franconian classic is a tasty treat with a distinctive aroma.
