When describing their beers, most breweries try to use the most beautiful, apt and flowery words in order to make their creations as tasty and tempting as possible. Not so Stone Brewing: In the article about their Arrogant Bastard Ale it says right in the first line that the brew is aggressive and will most likely not appeal to the beer connoisseur. The rest of the text contains all sorts of provocative statements that can be summarized into a thesis. Due to its intensity, Arrogant Bastard is a beer for real connoisseurs and not for complete beginners. Many people hate it and only a select minority with particularly fine palates and a mountain of beer knowledge appreciate the fine wine.

This is a pretty bold campaign. Nevertheless, the beer has been around for almost 20 years now and we are sure that its fan base has grown significantly since the emergence of the craft beer movement. Nowadays, people are no longer afraid of bitterness levels in the three-digit range, massive mountains of hops and a powerful 7.2% alcohol content.

If you are a fan of the Arrogant Bastard Ale, we have just the right glass for you: To match the beer, the brewery has created a pint glass that presents the famous ale and all other brews in the best light.
