In the already extraordinary assortment of the capital brewery Schneeeule, Flora adds another shovel. The so-called Flower Sour is not only brewed in Berlin, it also presents an aromatic profile of the region around the brewery. What that means? Flora tastes like everything that grows and blooms in Berlin Tegel!
For the wonderfully flowery sour beer, a large number of flowers were initially picked with great care and by hand. In front of the gates of the brewery there is a colorful flora that gives the beer not only its name but also its unique taste. Beers flavored with blossoms were made from delicate white elder blossoms, exotic looking jasmine and the bewitchingly fragrant blossoms of roses and robinia, which were then married to Flora. A flower-filled wedding with a fabulous outcome: Flora is a floral treasure that changes its character from year to year thanks to the microorganisms it contains. Flora was brewed in 2018 and has been showing its full potential ever since.
And does it taste good too? Yes! Flora is a complex brew that is dominated by wonderful acidity, fine fruit and infinitely elegant flowery. The exotic aroma of tangy citrus fruit is joined by notes of white grapes and a dry aroma of sun-kissed straw. The refreshing acidity runs like a red thread through the beer enjoyment, a subtle flowery skillfully rounds off the play of aromas.
