A popular dish at Knoblach is their chicken. When you enter the brewery restaurant, the enticing smell of roasted poultry fills your nostrils. The bird is prepared in the oven and arrives at the guest with crispy, golden-brown skin and wonderful seasoning. The chicken tastes particularly good with the homemade fried potatoes. The crispy fried tubers are prepared in clarified butter and refined with onions, cumin and a handful of parsley. The fries taste pretty good too.
The perfect beer for a meal with chicken is the Helle, which the Knoblach family brews themselves. Among the beer specialties from their brewery, the Franconian classic is an absolute crowd favorite. On the one hand, this is because the light is a harmonious accompaniment to dishes of all kinds and, on the other hand, because of its well-rounded, subtly coordinated taste.
The light presents itself in a crystal-clear dark gold in the glass and is crowned with a considerable amount of mixed-pored foam. The smell test makes you want to drink with a potpourri of caramel, ripe grain, freshly mown grass and subtle citrus. The flavor follows suit, bringing grassy and floral hops, smooth malt, creamy honey, lemon zest and a mild bitterness to the tongue. Add a chicken and the pleasure is complete!
