TEST | TRACE | ISOLATE - That was the unofficial motto of 2020. Nico Döring and Benedikt Steger have created a beer to match, which appeared on time for the first lockdown and sweetened the quarantine for us. Now the madness goes into the second round and the two brewers have been hardworking: There is a second version of TEST | TRACE | ISOLATE!
The highlight of this delicious IPA is not the excellent taste or the tempting appearance, but the built-in corona rapid test. To check for the first signs of corona, the beer connoisseur only has to rub the red cross on the label. If his nose smells a fine scent, at least one symptom can be excluded. The scientific relevance of this rapid test is arguable, but the beer is delicious and a little humor definitely can’t hurt in these times.
Behind the windy test is an IPA in the color of sun-kissed grain. The beer is naturally cloudy and adorns itself with an airy layer of foam that smells of tropical fruits. The initial taste reveals a strong body with a silky-soft mouthfeel and a large fruit character. A juicy wave of mango, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit and papaya floods the mouth and kisses the tongue with fruity sweetness. A subtle hop bitterness complements the sweetness and acidity excellently.
