We speak of reflection when landscapes, light, people, animals, objects or other things are reflected in a surface. For example, if you look at a lake on a sunny, windless day, you can see the sky, the trees and - at the right angle - your own face. The reflection only shows what actually exists.

This is not the first time that the Blech.Brut brewery from Upper Franconia has questioned physics and dared to come up with a counter-proposal. With Surreal Reflection, the team shows a reflection that deceives us. Confusing, but also absolutely delicious. Behind the title is a New England IPA that was made with a single type of hops. The Single Hop NEIPA revolves around the HBC 630 hop variety, which brings with it a range of complex flavors. The green gold delivers sweet fruit notes and can taste of freshly harvested wild berries, cherries, peaches and bananas. With the right technique, you can even coax notes of creamy caramel from the hops.

Surreal Reflection brings a strong 6.5% alcohol content into the glass and presents itself in a shimmering coppery gold. A light crown of white foam sits on top and smells of ripe apricots and all kinds of other fruit. The first sip is wonderfully juicy and brings a potpourri of fruit notes with a hint of caramel to the tongue. A gentle, restrained bitterness rounds off the play of aromas.
