Sounds good, tastes even better.
For their latest creation, the brewers at To Øl have collected as many optimal facts as possible to give their beer the best possible sound. The brew is the product of a collaboration between To Øl and her Berlin colleagues from Fuerst Wiacek: The concentrated experience of two craft breweries merges into an unbeatable accumulation of knowledge for this beer. The Imperial Stout was aged in Bourbon casks for an incredible 13 months. And because even that wasn’t enough for the brewers, pecan nuts, cocoa nibs, vanilla and cinnamon were also added to the beer at this time. The crowning glory and the absolute killer argument are the fierce 15.4% alcohol content. Sounds incredibly good, we think!
The sensationally good beer presents itself in the darkest shade of mahogany in the glass and is crowned with a delicate veil of hazelnut-brown foam. Scent and taste are a bewitching symphony of toasted pecans, fine cocoa, exotic vanilla, fine bourbon, chocolate that melts on the tongue, creamy caramel and cinnamon. The alcohol content is cleverly integrated into the voluminous body and complements the play of aromas with fiery warmth that spreads through body and soul. The powerful sweetness is offset by a noble bitterness that provides balance and contrast.
