May we introduce you to Hazy Jane? The blonde beauty comes in a thick, cloudy, golden robe and enchants with her relaxed, easy-going manner. Jane is a juicy New England IPA from BrewDog that has been one of the brewery's flagships for years. The original version had a powerful 7.5% alcohol content in the glass and was therefore a little too strong for everyday consumption. For this reason, the brewery decided to brew a slightly lighter version. Hazy Jane 2.0 has a slim 5.0% alcohol content and prefers to let its multifaceted aroma shine instead of the alcohol content.
The unfiltered NEIPA is based on a variety of different malts that provide a velvety, soft, grippy stage for the hop explosion. The hop varieties used - Cascade, Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe - can already be detected in the nose: a wonderful scent of golden pineapple, exotic mango, sweet mandarin and ripe stone fruit tickles the olfactory nerves and entices you to take a sip. The taste is made up of gentle grain, a whole flood of tropical fruit and tangy citrus fruit. The 25 bitter units can be felt in the finish, which combine with a spicy hint of pine resin to create a full-bodied finale.
Whether at 7.5% or 5.0% - BrewDog's Hazy Jane is a delight in every version!
