"Hop, skip, and jump" is an English expression used when something is just a stone's throw away. Things we like to be no more than a stone's throw away from include the nearest ice cream parlor, a cozy pub, a comfortable sofa, and a fridge with a beer or two in it. The team at Vocation Brewery seems to feel the same way, as they gave one of their brews a very similar name.
Hop, Skip & Juice is a hazy pale ale that puts you in a good mood at first glance. The juicy brew is housed in a sunny yellow can with a cheerful floral pattern. And the beer inside is also a true ray of sunshine: The pale ale flows into the glass in bright lemon yellow and builds up a light, airy head. The Citra BBC and Simcoe hops deliver tangy notes of mandarin orange, peach, pineapple, and apricot, which are evident in both the aroma and the taste. Despite the crisp citrus aroma, the mouthfeel is silky smooth and caresses the palate. A mild bitterness concludes the beer experience and lingers on the tongue for a while.
Vocations Hop, Skip & Juice is a refreshing, light-hearted drink that we would love to have close at hand.
