One of these majestic brews is, for example, Smash & Grab from Vocation Brewery. This English brewery presents us with a true bastion of malt and a generous amount of hops. Their East Coast Style Double IPA boasts a hefty 8.0% ABV and is also extremely powerful in character. A tidal wave of tropical fruit meets a substantial 70 IBUs on the palate – a real hop kick that packs a punch!

Smash & Grab pours from the can in an opaque, golden hue, its attractive appearance crowned with a light, white foam. An intense aroma of crisp, tart lemon, luscious tropical fruits, and overripe mango rises, enticing the palate. The first impression is silky smooth and sweet: a velvety texture carries strong notes of passion fruit, mango, papaya, and pineapple to the tongue. The malt counters the hoppy explosion with subtle hints of bread and a touch of caramel. Spicy components of pine resin and mild herbal notes lend depth and contrast to the juicy flavor profile. A robust bitterness, which lingers from the first sip to the last, provides the finishing touch. A fantastic example of modern IPAs!
