The classic ginger beer is a soft drink that is only called beer because it is brewed like one. Otherwise, the ginger-based brew has relatively little to do with the beer. The ladies of the Gebrouwen Door Vrouwen brewery wanted to change that with their very own interpretation. They were inspired by a soft drink with a generous helping of ginger. They wanted to reproduce the wonderful tingling on the tongue and the sparkling, refreshing ginger taste of the lemonade in the beer and their plan actually worked.
Gember Goud is a ginger beer that deserves its name. In addition to malt, hops, water and yeast, a whole truckload of fresh ginger went into the kettle. The creation was so well received that the brewers included it in their core range. That was 5 years ago — an anniversary that the team is celebrating with a very special variant of their Gember Goud.
Gember Goud Super Spicy is a continuation of the original version. The only difference is a plus of ginger. A huge one: the brewers used a whole 30% more ginger than usual. Together with orange peel, turmeric and coriander seeds, the ginger bewitches all the senses and will turn your head with its powerful sharpness and fiery warmth!
