After the catastrophe towards the end of the week, the climax of Saturday, and the slow pace of Sunday, Monday can only be described as a catastrophe in direct comparison to the drama. Having worked towards the weekend all week, enjoyed a wonderful Saturday, and found Sunday somewhat enjoyable despite the gloomy premonition of the coming week, our mood plummets on Monday morning: Another Monday, another five full workdays!
The team at VandeStreek Brewery extended their weekend with a clever strategy. A well-timed Sunday night binge left them in that slightly hazy, dreamy Sunday mood on Monday, blurring the lines between the week and the start of the week with this ingenious move. And it was precisely in this post-weekend haze that they developed Hazy Weekend – or so the legends surrounding this exceptionally cloudy New England IPA claim.
Hazy Weekend combines the aromatic intensity of Amarillo hops with a secret additional variety, bringing juicy pineapple, citrus notes, tropical fruits, and freshly cut grass to the palate. The 6.6% ABV brew pours a gently hazy, golden hue into the glass, crowned with a fine, white foam. Thanks to three different grains, the texture is velvety smooth and full-bodied.
