In our family, Christmas beers are a must, along with Grandma's vanilla crescent cookies.

Breweries around the world begin preparing every year as early as the end of October to present their customers with fine brews in time for the start of Advent. The Carlsberg brewery has maintained this tradition for years and includes its Carl's Jul in its seasonal range.

This beer boasts an alcohol content of 5.6%, warming both body and soul even on the crispest December cold. The lager pours a festive gold into the glass, crowned with a snow-white head. A delicate malty aroma rises to the nose, enticing the palate. The flavor profile comprises subtle grain notes, soft sweetness, hints of caramel, and a delicate touch of hops. A moderate bitterness emerges as the drinking experience progresses, building to a crisp finish that perfectly complements the beer's sweet components.

Carl's Jul foregoes Christmas spices and such frills; instead, the brewery relies on full-bodied grain, a bit more body, and a little extra alcohol to create a festive atmosphere.
