Alcohol-free beers are all the rage and are now available not only in almost every brewery range, but also in any form. Resourceful brewers have created non-alcoholic versions of classic and very modern beers that sweeten abstinence and make drinking beer a pleasure without regrets .
One of the classic non-alcoholic beers is Royal 0.0% from the Danish brewery Royal Beer. The specialty in the blue can does not need to be turned and, thanks to the sophisticated brewing process, tastes almost like a conventional Pilsner. It is also visually indistinguishable: it presents itself in a shiny gold tone in the glass and is crowned with a good handbreadth of pure white foam. A potpourri of citrus-fresh hops, smooth malt, sun-ripened grains and warm bread crusts indulges the nose and tongue. A hint of lemongrass and a gentle bitterness complete the play of aromas.
The non-alcoholic Pilsner tastes particularly good with hearty dishes. Seared strips of lean beef, for example. Finely sliced green chiles, garlic, spring onions, fish and soy sauce, toasted sesame seeds and a generous helping of fragrant jasmine rice with a good bite complete this delicious dish. Add an ice-cold Royal 0.0% and the evening is perfect!
