Until now, the non-alcoholic beer from the Damm brewery had a reputation for being slightly bland. Through the process of alcohol withdrawal, some of the good taste was lost. This was not a situation that anyone wanted to accept and so they tinkered and experimented until a new technology was found. The alcohol is removed as usual, and the aromas that disappear are simply added back after the process. This means the beer only loses its taste for a short time and is then re-flavored. It sounds complicated, maybe it is, but in the end all that counts is the end product and it impresses with its variety of beery flavors.
Free Damm flows into the glass in a crystal-clear amber tone and impresses with its fine, shiny appearance and light reflections in all facets of gold. The finely sparkling carbon dioxide transports a tempting scent of green hops and white flowers to the surface. On the nose, floral hops combine with notes of roasted malt, oven-fresh bread and caramel popcorn to create an inviting composition. The initial taste reveals a light-footed body with a soft mouthfeel and refreshing character. Crisp and dry, clean hop notes hit the palate, toast, grain and a hint of honey complement the aromatics. The finish is short and crisply bitter.
