In stark contrast to the fruity, light-footed and refreshing other beers of Rodinny Pivovar Zichovec is their Dark Lager Bounty: The dark beauty is brewed with cocoa beans and coconut and is a sweet temptation in a beery form.
The rich beer flows into the glass in the color of black coffee and is adorned with a hand’s breadth of hazelnut-brown, creamy foam. The opaque beer in the darkest shade of mahogany exudes a strong scent of roasted coconut flakes, chocolate and fine cocoa. The initial taste reveals a powerful body with a warming 5.5% alcohol content and a complex taste. Soft and velvety, roasted malts and toasted coconuts caress the palate. Melting chocolate, freshly brewed coffee and cocoa complete the play of aromas. A fine bitterness and a subtle, roasted acidity complement the creamy sweetness. The drinking pleasure leads to a chocolatey finish that tastes like coconut and at the same time presents a nice toasted bitterness.
Pivovar Zichovec’s Dark Lager Bounty combines the wintry roasted notes of an imperial stout with the exotic flair of coconut - an unusual mixture that tastes good in both summer and winter. The relatively low alcohol content also makes the beer extremely tasty and allows you to enjoy another can. We recommend the Czech beer specialty as a special dessert after an opulent meal.
