That was the approximate mood board that inspired the Portuguese brewery for its latest work, Saison O'Conner. Your season should be uncomplicated and subtle, casual and light and so easy that it creeps into your everyday life unnoticed and after a short time it becomes impossible to imagine life without it. Dangerously drinkable, so to speak.
Saison O'Connor flows into the glass in a sunny amber tone and is slightly cloudy. A delicately toned, fine-pored foam crowns the beer and at the same time exudes a tempting scent of fresh fruit and subtle spiciness. Citrus aromas and spicy yeast complement the olfactory aromas and make you want to take the first sip. This tingles on the tongue and presents a strong carbonic acid that bubbles finely and gives the beer a velvety consistency. A well-balanced mixture of light malt and citrus-fresh hops spreads across the mouth. A hint of white pepper and a nice yeast spice round off the taste. The finish is dry and pleasantly bitter.
