The classic Pilsner is a relatively moderate beer style. No taste experiments, not too many hops and no surprises on the ingredient list. The only thing that could be accused of some variants of the category is excessive bitterness.
The Musa brewery could no longer tolerate this deplorable situation and promptly gave the tried-and-tested classic a real hop slap. Their interpretation of the traditional German Pilsner contains many times the normal amount of hops and therefore brings a surprising variety of flavors into the glass. Pils drinkers beware, this one is anything but moderate!
Musas Psycho Pilsner focuses on the Perle and Spalt Select hop varieties, eliciting a bouquet that ranges from freshly mown grass to tropical fruits and forest herbs. Notes of robust grain and gently roasted malt provide a soft base, while a crisp bitterness provides contrast and creates a successful finish. The rounding factor is the successful look: a majestic crown of airy foam in off-white sits enthroned on a delicately clouded gold body.
We carry this unconventional Pilsner in both bottles and cans. Whether it's glass or tin is a matter of taste - the beer in it is equally delicious and should be fun for everyone who likes Pilsner and still enjoys a little variety every now and then.
