Hop attack!
Atak Chmielu is one of the first beers from the Polish Browar Pinta and is a hit: The American IPA is bursting with hops. It was also the first American IPA ever brewed for sale in Poland. A revolutionary through and through and the beginning of the hop revolution in Poland.
As you might expect, there’s a whole lot of hops in a beer named Hop Attack. Atak Chmielu uses four of the most aromatic American hop varieties: Simcoe, Citra, Cascade and Amarillo. In addition to the hops, a significant amount of malt also goes into the kettle, which gives the beer its wonderful copper-red color. With gently sparkling carbon dioxide, the hop attack exudes a delicious orange scent. Orange peel combines on the nose with sweet caramel malts and the herbal aroma of hop flowers. With the first sip, a beautiful bitter-sweet hop fruitiness spreads on the tongue, which is accompanied by gentle malt notes. Atak Chmielu starts moderately and builds up to a real hop fireworks display with notes of pine, tangy citrus fruits and spicy resin towards the finish.
Atak Chmielu is a hop attack that we want: hop bitterness, fruitiness and malt excellently balanced, beautifully tangy and crispy dry.
