This beer makes a statement against boring beer - at least that's what the Lehe brewery says about its creation with the simple name Heckle.
Visually, Heckle already impresses us with its colorful label, which is reminiscent of the ingenious compositions of the Dutch artist Piet Mondrian. And the name is also well thought out: “Heckle” comes from Estonian and means something like “interjection”. Since a heckling sounds like a sideshow, we interpret the title more like a loud shout that interrupts the endless stream of boring beers. The taster realizes that the Heckle is truly something special - a fantastic interlude - when it is sniffed. No nose misses the strong fruit aroma with cleverly played notes of pineapple and mango. And the Heckle doesn't have to hide in terms of taste either: the sophisticated variety of aromas from citrus fruits and hops confirm the genius of this interjection.
Despite its voluminous body, we can highly recommend the Heckle to craft beer newbies. It is so delicately balanced that it delights both connoisseurs and beginners.
