In honor of its new location, the Sakiškių alus brewery has come up with a fabulous festival beer. The expansion of the brewery will include a historic factory building, which is called Dūmų fabrikas and is located on Dūmų Street. In German, this Lithuanian name would be translated as “Rauchfabrik an der Rauchstrasse”. What could be more suitable than a smoked beer?
The brewers at Sakiškių alus thought that too and created a light lager. The special twist is provided by the malt, which was smoked over beech wood and specially ordered from Germany for the Smoked Helle. Other types of malt and an extra portion of hops round off the taste experience.
Sakiškių as Smoked Helles flows into the glass in a magnificent gold tone and is crowned by a fleeting amount of snow-white foam. A tempting scent of a summer campfire tickles the olfactory nerves and makes you excited about the first sip. The initial drink presents a balanced beer that not only tastes wonderfully smoky, but also tastes like dewy hay, sweet spices and floral hops.
The Smoked Helle by Sakiškių alus is a late summer symphony that awakens the desire for campfires, grilled marshmallows, soft guitar music, crickets chirping and whispered horror stories in the moonlight.
