Brewing craft beer is a collective act: young breweries don’t always have their own brewing system, sometimes you share tips and tricks with other brewers and every now and then you invite a team to your own hallowed halls to work together. Many craft breweries speak out against competitive thinking and bitter competition and are setting an example of solidarity in the brewing industry with collaborations and open doors. Ale-Mania from Bonn is one of these institutions with a sense of community and often houses smaller breweries. These include, for example, the brewsistas. The ladies have their own system, but it is still quite limited and if a larger batch needs to be brewed, they find shelter and free capacity with their Bonn acquaintances.
To celebrate the good cooperation and their friendship, the two breweries have now come up with a collaboration brew: Sistamania not only combines the names of both breweries wonderfully, the brewing piece also harmoniously brings together the skills of both teams. The smooth pale ale is brewed with a quartet of American hops and combines the citrus-fresh, tropical-fruity elements of Amarillo, Columbus, El Dorado and Ekuanot with bright grain notes.
Sistamania is a round, wonderfully hoppy fruit treat with a mild character and great freshness. An absolutely successful collaboration!
